The Chassis design
The new Traxxas E-Revo is a next genereation electric Rc car. The Chassis design is futuristic. Engineered by Traxxas, the ground-breaking molded E-Revo Rc car chassis sets a new benchmark for electric monster truck looks and performance. The E-Revo chassis combines art and function to deliver a lightweight, integrated, and rigid platform that maximizes strength and reduces weight. Looking forward, the chassis was designed to accommodate new battery technologies and for the extreme speeds and torque of brushless power systems. By combining the battery compartments with the chassis design, the battery packs can sit low and close to the center of the rc car, plus valuable chassis surface is freed up to accommodate the electronics for a clean layout. This keeps the center of gravity (CG) as low as possible and increases side-to-side agility by keeping most of the weight close to the center of the rc car.

E-Revo seems to do the impossible by providing extremely high center ground clearance (about 4-inches!) and an extremely low center of gravity (CG) on the same rc car. It's the result of careful engineering that places heavier items such as the transmission, battery packs, and the motors as low in the chassis configuration as possible. Even E-Revo's unique laydown shock configuration contributes to lowering the CG. The high center ground clearance combined with E-Revo's extreme suspension articulation make E-Revo the most versatile Rc car monster truck ever conceived.

Resembling the exhaust ducts of a turbine powered jet, the futuristic battery vents are securely mounted on the chassis. In addition to offering entrance and exit cooling, the oversized openings incorporate latches that insert into the battery door clasps. The battery compartment vents symbolize the sleek and high-tech image that places E-Revo rc car in a class of its own.

Wing and bumpers
The streamlined style of the Revo wing incorporates Formula 1 styling and functionality. The extra down force enables steady, controllable flight and positive rear traction in any situation.

Traxxas engineered a technologically advanced wing mount specifically for Revo. The cross-brace has two positions for variable wing heights. Mount the cross-brace in the upper location for more down force, or bolt it in the lower position for faster top speeds for the rc car. The wing mount offers three deflection angle adjustments for precision track tuning.

New race-inspired bumpers are trimmed down for an all-out racing look and coated in a beautiful black-chrome finish for an aggressive, yet sleek appearance for the rc car.

Suspension
E-Revo is equipped with the most advanced suspension and chassis design ever conceived for an rc car monster truck. Push rods and rockers translate up and down suspension travel into smooth linear motion for inboard mounted shock absorbers. Computer modeled rocker geometry uses the physics of leverage to deliver true progressive suspension action.

E-Revo constantly varies both the spring rate and damping to match suspension movement. Over small bumps, the suspension is light and responsive, reacting instantly to the surface. Compress the suspension over large bumps and jumps and the rocker geometry progressively increases the spring force and shock damping. In an instant, the suspension automatically becomes stiffer when you need it most for your rc car.

E-Revo's suspension provides true progressive spring and damping action not possible with conventional designs that mount the shock directly to the suspension arm. At ride height, E-Revo's suspension is light and responsive, reacting instantly to the track surface. As the suspension is compressed, the rocker geometry changes and causes the spring force and shock damping to progressively increase. The suspension automatically becomes stiffer when you need it most. Tha rc car constantly varies the spring rate and damping to the suspension movement and instantly provides the best possible control for every extreme. Traditional suspension systems can't match it.

E-Revo allows easy adjustment of the suspension's progressive rate and total travel by simply installing different rocker sets. For example, install the included Long Travel rockers to extend total suspension travel to a whopping 120mm, more than any other rc cars monster truck!

Tires & Wheels
E-Revo utilizes the optimized aspect ratio of the 3.8" pre-glued wheel and tire combo. The wide, low profile design provides excellent handling and reduces weight. If you already own a Maxx truck, Revo wheel and tire combos are compatible with the Maxx family.

E-Revo's tires come pre-glued to the rims with foam inserts. This huge time saver gets you Ready-to-Race® right out of the box.

The installed foam inserts are specifically matched to the rubber compound and tread design to enhance grip.

Heavy-Duty Transmission
The new single-speed Brushless Ready™ transmission features an oversized steel idler gear and a Torque-Control™ slipper clutch to handle the massive torque of high-performance brushless motors. To access spur and pinion gears quickly and easily, a unique single-piece gear cover can be removed and installed with a single hex screw. For additional tuning options an accessory single motor installation kit and two-speed gear sets are available.

The Patent-Pending Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement you can count on, run after run with your rc cars. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment. A center ball bearing maintains precise, long-lasting alignment with near friction-free running and virtually zero maintenance. Only Traxxas has it, and makes it the best electric rc car!

E-Revo's limited slip differentials are completely sealed with durable silicon x-rings and gaskets. This allows them to be virtually maintenance free and the limited-slip action can be tuned using different viscosity oil. The ring and pinion gears are super smooth thanks to refined manufacturing and design. The differential housings are light and extremely compact. The housings are engineered to resist flex and are assembled for precision bearing and gear alignment. The precise fit is unaffected by the tightness of the screws. Durability is assured with a large, heavy-duty drive side bearing and large screws that retain the ring gear. EVX-2 Waterproof Electric Speed Control
The EVX-2 delivers an incredible 16-plus volts, from two battery packs, making 16.8-volt, twin-motor setups more powerful than ever! Designed by Traxxas, the EVX-2 features a completely waterproof design, three drive profiles, Thermal Shutdown Protection, and gold-plated high-current battery connectors. The EVX-2 also includes patent-pending Training Mode.™ This profile reduces the overall power output of the EVX-2 by 50% making it easier for young/new drivers to develop their control skills before unleashing full-power operation.
